PESHAWAR, Jan 27: A lecture was arranged at the Institute of Computer and Management Sciences (ICMS), entitled “Wake-up call for a Muslim” on Monday.

Faiez H. Seyal, a scholar of repute, delivered it. He urged the Ummah to practise the teachings of the holy prophet, Mohammad (peace be upon him) in letter and spirit, in order to restore the lost glory of their ancestors, who had ruled the world through their deeds.

He linked the worsening economic condition of the Ummah with the lack of education. According to him, the US, though not a Muslim country, had adopted the tenets of Islam, which had catapulted it to the position of a world ruler.— Correspondent
