KARACHI, March 20: Dr Faizullah Abbasi, a noted academician, will take charge as the first vice-chancellor of the Dawood University of Engineering and Technology today.

Dr Abbasi who has done a PhD from Sheffield City Polytechnic, England, and MS in production management from University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and B.E. in mechanical engineering, has more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research and administration.

He has also been managing director of Sui Southern Gas Company.—PPI
