KARACHI, Jan 27: The external candidates for HSC humanities and commerce groups examinations claimed on Monday that they were being charged incorrect amount on account of bank commission.

According to BIE officials, the bank counters set up at the Board of Intermediate Education were supposed to charge only Rs10 per form as bank commission. However, students, particularly girls, and some of their parents maintained that the bank staff charged Rs20 per form on Monday.

A large number of students at present are submitting their forms and fees at the bank.

Expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of the bank staff, one parent said that he was upset with the attitude of the staff, particularly for their indifference towards girl students.

When an official at the bank was contacted on telephone, he said that he too had received complaints of overcharging and had passed on the information to his high-ups. A senior board official said that students and parents should immediately inform the Board officials in case of overcharging or misbehaviour.
