ISLAMABAD, Jan 26: Commander-in-Chief of US Central Command Gen Tommy R. Franks arrived here on Sunday on a two-day visit.
The commander-in-chief was received by Commander Army Air Defence Lt-Gen Khateer Hassan Khan at Chaklala air base.
Gen Franks is visiting Pakistan for “routine consultations” on the regional situation and cooperation between the two allies, US embassy spokesman Terry White said.
Gen Franks will meet Gen Musharraf on Monday for talks on matters of bilateral interest, Pakistani officials said.
Gen Franks is likely to oversee any US attack on Iraq.
