NLC, WFP sign agreement

ISLAMABAD, Nov 25: A service agreement has recently been signed between the National Logistic Cell (NLC) and the World Food Programme.

According to the agreement, the NLC will provide a one-window operation, related with transportation, handling warehousing of relief goods and management of the WFP transport fleet at Quetta.

A press release, issued here on Saturday, said the aim of the agreement was to ensure speedy, safe and timely distribution of relief goods to bereaved/distressed Afghan refugees.

The NLC, it added, had shown a keen interest to extend the services to other donor countries/International donor agencies.
