LAHORE, March 13: Punjab government’s spokesman Pervaiz Rashid claims 150 people have been arrested in the Badami Bagh attack case, of them 54 have been identified against whom challans have been submitted to anti-terrorism courts.

He was speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday.

He rejected the reports that land mafia threatened the Christians to get their land vacated or offered them to buy their land.

He said the court had been requested to hear the cases every day to provide speedy justice, while the Lahore High Court chief justice had been approached for a judicial inquiry into the tragedy.

He said the officials directly responsible for showing negligence had been suspended to ensure independent and impartial investigations into the case.

He said a police post had been set up and an officer of the rank of SP had been posted there to provide security to the victims.
