HYDERABAD, March 12: A man was killed and five students of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, sustained injuries in a road accident involving a rickshaw, a car and a motorcycle within the remit of the Jamshoro police station on Indus Highway.

A rickshaw carrying five female MBBS students of LUMHS was on its way to the toll plaza from the university hostel when it was hit by a car and a motorcycle coming from the opposite side near the Sindhology department, an official of the Jamshoro police station said.

Rickshaw driver Riasat Masih, 45, son of Liaya Masih was pronounced dead when he along with the five injured victims were taken to the Liaquat University Hospital (LUH), Jamshoro branch.

One of the injured students, Hina Jameel, was stated to be in a critical condition and was referred to a private hospital in Karachi.
