TAXILA, March 8: An activist of Awami National Party (ANP), Swat, who was on tableeghi tour to Taxila, was shot dead outside a mosque on Friday.
Police sources said that when Arsala Khan, 60, came out of the mosque for some work, two masked men hiding there opened fire on him killing him on the spot.
His body was taken to tehsil headquarters hospital, Taxila from where it was dispatched to his native town for burial.
Police sources quoting family sources said the incident was the result of some old enmity.
Taxila police have registered a case and started investigations.
