ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: Former Senate chairman Wasim Sajjad has predicted that Pakistan Muslim League(Q) will emerge as majority party in Senate.

In an interview here on Thursday, Wasim Sajjad, who is contesting election on PML(Q) ticket, was confident that the PML(Q) and allied parties would return successful in winning majority in the Upper House.

He predicted that the PML(Q) and allies would be victorious by winning as many as 54 seats in the Upper House of the parliament. “It should be a working majority with opposition also winning a suitable number of seats.”

About other parties, he said, the PPP may also have major share in these elections. “They can form a bigger group amongst opposition parties,” he added.—APP
