KARACHI: India criticized

Published January 24, 2003

KARACHI, Jan 23: Corps Commander Lt-Gen Tariq Waseem Ghazi has said that defence of the country is in safe hands.

Addressing the officers and troops at Malir Garrison here on Thursday, he said that enemy had carried out escalation recently with a view to degrading Pakistan’s economic potential, sabotaging Pakistan’s new-found relevance to international community and misleading the world opinion against Kashmir’s freedom struggle.

However, he added, the armed forces’ demonstration of combat readiness, steadfastness and resolve had forced the enemy to pull back without achieving the objectives. — PPI
