Mujeeb Ahmed, a Levies official said armed militants opened fire at a vehicle in Tump tehsil of district Kech. He said all four persons were killed inside the vehicle.

“The assailants put the vehicle on fire after the incident,” Ahmed said. The assailants managed to escape after the attack.

“All victims were burnt inside the vehicle,” he said.

He said the victims, residents of Tump tehsil, were traveling near the Pak-Iran border when they were attacked by the armed men. Two of the deceased were identified as residents of Mand area in Kech district.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the killings.

The bodies of the victims were shifted to Civil Hospital Turbat for medico-legal formalities.
