KARACHI, Jan 22: A young man committed suicide after killing a girl in Gulshan-i-Hadeed on Wednesday.

According to the reports, 20-year-old Imran Niazi, who was a second-year student and lived in Phase-II, Gulshan-i-Hadeed, went to his neighbours’ house and shot 18-year old Razia. She died on the spot.

Police said the girl suffered two bullet wounds, one in the chest and the other in the neck. Later, Imran shot himself in the temple. He was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre and died during treatment.

The deceased were in love. The boy’s father had rejected the idea of their marriage saying they didn’t marry outside the Niazi clan.

KILLED: An elderly man was killed by unknown persons who dumped his body near the Urdu Bazar area in Shershah early Wednesday morning.

Police said the body was chopped to pieces and stuffed in a gunny bag. The victim in his mid 70’s could not be identified. The body was sent to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital from where it was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.

In another incident, a man was killed by unknown persons in Model Colony. Police said the body of Mushtaq Bajwa, aged 40, was found in a gunny bag near his residence in Alamgir Society, Model Colony.

Police said the victim was hanged to death and the body was later dumped in the area. The deceased was an employee of the telephone department and had three children.

Victim’s father Muhammad Yousaf told the police that Mushtaq had gone out of the house on Tuesday night but did not return. The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.

A man was stabbed to death in Buffer Zone Sector -10, New Karachi, on Wednesday night.

Police said Aziz, aged 40, was stabbed in the abdomen by unknown persons who fled after committing the crime.
