Army and Wapda to dominate

LAHORE, Jan 21: Stage is all set for the 37th National Athletics Championship 2003 commencing from Wednesday at WAPDA Sports Complex, Kot Lakhpat, under the auspices of WAPDA Sports Board.

The reigning champions for men and women Pakistan Army and Wapda will defend their titles.

The four-day meet will be participated by 14 teams in men and women categories.

On the first day nine finals will be decided besides ten heats.

The finals will be held in shot put (Women), Pole Vault (Men), 10,000 meter race (Men), hammer throw (women), long jump (Men), Javelin throw (Men), 800 meter race (Women) and 100 meter (Men and Women).—APP
