LAHORE, Feb 20: Robbers injured a citizen and looted cash and valuables worth Rs2 million in four strikes in the city on Wednesday.
Naeem Abbasi was getting his car out of garage in R-Block of Johar Town when two armed men came to him and looted Rs100,000 and a cell phone at gunpoint. They also shot at Abbas when he offered some resistance. The injured was taken to a hospital.
Four robbers barged in the house of Haji Salamat Ali in Jhalkay village in Kahna police limits and took away cash and valuables worth Rs1.5 million.
Some robbers stormed into the house of Abbas in Talab Siray in Manga Mandi police limits and made off with cash and valuables worth Rs310,000.
Three armed men looted cash and a cell phone from Haji Yousaf at his doorstep in the PIA Housing Society in Sattokatla police limits.
HURT: Three people sustained injuries in an elevator collapse near Lakshmi Chowk on Wednesday.
Police said Tariq, Sheroz and Rafique were injured after the elevator of a plaza broke down. Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to Mayo Hospital.
BULLET INJURY: A 25-year-old man was injured after the weapon he was cleaning went off in P-Block of Sabzazar on Wednesday.
Javed Akhtar was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
