ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday issued instructions to 103 political parties to hold intra-party elections, DawnNews reported.

The Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (PML-Q) and Dr Tahirul Qadri's Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) were among the parties instructed by the Election Commission.

The ECP also instructed 90 political parties, which had not submitted their details of assets and liabilities, to file the required particulars.

The commission further said that those parties which have not conducted intra-party polls and which have not submitted details of assets would not be allotted with election symbols.
