KARACHI, Feb 10: Balochistan edged Chaman Zone 3-2 in a thrilling Group ‘B’ match of the National Under-13 Regional Football Festival on Sunday.

All five goals of the game came in the first-half with Ahmedullah giving Chaman the lead in the fourth minute at the Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium in Peshawar.

Qudratullah leveled for Balochistan in the 11th before they raced into a 3-1 lead following goals from Bashir Hussain, from the penalty spot in the 24th, and Naqi Agha three minutes later.

Chaman Zone’s Abdul Majeed scored from the penalty spot in the 33rd to reduce the arrears but the equalizer proved elusive.

In Group ‘D’, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Peshawar-Nowshera Zone played out a drab stalemate at Pewshawar’s Qayyum Stadium.—Sports Reporter
