Fast food outlet gutted

FAISALABAD, Jan 19: Fire reduced to ashes articles, furniture and other valuables in a branch of a multi-national fast food restaurant on Faisalabad-Satiana Road on Sunday.

According to details, employees of the McDonalds’ Satiana Road branch left the outlet at about 3 am on Sunday. After about one hour, fire broke out in the meal hall which engulfed the entire outlet within minutes.

Area people informed the fire-fighters who could extinguish the flames after two hours.

The outlet management said valuables worth over Rs5 million were destroyed. The management claimed that the fire was caused because of short-circuit.
