LANDI KOTAL, Feb 6: A woman and her four-year-old son were killed and another son was critically injured when the roof of their house caved in due to excessive rain in Loe Shalman area of Landi Kotal on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Local officials said wife of Khalo Khan and his four years old son died on the spot while five years old Naveed was taken to hospital in critical condition after the roof of their house collapsed in Sheenolu Kalay locality. Local administration sent khasadar force to retrieve the bodies and take the injured to the hospital. Snowfall and heavy downpour also uprooted at least three electricity poles in Zakhakhel area suspending power supply to more than 300 houses in Sultan Khel Wali and Sheikhwal areas. — Correspondent
