LAHORE, Feb 5: The Gulberg police arrested three FIA officials and registered a case against them on the charge of raping a woman.

The police inserted Sections 376 (Punishment of rape) and 496 (Marriage ceremony fraudulently gone through without lawful marriage) of the PPC in the case.

Complainant Surraya of Harbanspura told the police that her 30-year-old sister was invited by Khalid Naeem and his two subordinates, Ahmad Kirmani and Muqaddar Husain, to a hotel in Liberty Market on Monday last on the pretext of arranging a job for her in a private airline.

The suspects took the woman to a room and allegedly raped her under the influence of liquor, she said.

Gulberg Station House Officer Nasir Hameed said the investigation wing had begun interrogation.
