Waqas excels

KARACHI, Feb 2: Mohammad Waqas claimed six wickets to star in Zone-I Whites’ seven-wicket victory over Zone-III Blues in the KCCA Woodward Trophy Under-17 Inter-zonal cricket tournament match at the KCCA Stadium here the other day.

Off-spinner Waqar returned splendid figures of six wickets for 14 runs in eight overs as Zone-III Blues were dismissed for a paltry 69 in 25 overs.

In another match played at the TMC Ground, Zone-VI Blues defeated Zone-I Blues by 131 runs. The highlight being slow left-armer Huzaifa Ahmed taking 6-61 for the losing side
