Four die in bus-coach collision

LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 18: Four people were killed and eight others injured when a bus rammed into a coach near Shahbazkhel on Indus Highway, some 40km from here, on Saturday.

Witnesses said the bus (C-3771, Dera Ismail Khan) was going from Quetta to Bannu when it collided with the coach (LPT-1917), killing four people. The injured were taken to the Titterkhel hospital.

Khair Mohammad, a technician at the hospital, said the dead were Khan Sherin Tajabikhel Betani, Dalil Khan, a resident of Qabalkhel in North Waziristan Agency, and Hussain Ahmad, a resident of Ghazikhel.

The fourth deceased, an Afghan refugee, could not be identified.

The injured were Anwar Tajabikhel Betani, Ghulam Mohyuddin, Sarwar Khan, Abdul Waheed, a resident of Landiwa; Razaullah, a resident of Gomal, Tank; Abdul Mateen Wazir, a resident of Jandola; Fakhar Zaman, a resident of Manjiwala, Lakki Marwat. The name of the eight could not be known.
