KARACHI, Jan 31: Four ships carrying crude oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Friday. On Thursday, Ginga Merlin, Santa Rufina, Xing Fu Song, Safina 2 and APL Brisbane were berthed at the port.
Zante, Ginga Merlin and Kota Gunawan sailed out.
Total cargo handled at Karachi Port on Thursday amounted to 116,221 tons comprising of 84,193 tons of import and 32,028 tons of exports.The following ships are expected to arrive at Karachi Port on Friday: Santa Rosa, Maliakos and Y M Taichung with containers and Desh Prem with crude oil.
Port Qasim
KARACHI: A ship MSC Jade is expected to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
Three ships MA CGM Bellini, Green Park and Al- Soor-II carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday, a PQA press release said on Thursday.
Four more ships with containers, furnace oil and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
CMA CGM Bellini, Maersk Kalamata, Al- Noof, M.V Thelsis, Maritime Suzana, Norgas Innovation, Mid Fighter, Green Park, Al- Soor-II and Akakai were occupying berths at Port Qasim to load/ offload containers, cement, canola seeds, chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil in the last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 101,218 tons comprising 69,113 tons imports and 32,105 tons exports was handled at the port on Wednesday.
