LAHORE, Jan 26: Young doctors resumed strike after a break of a day on Saturday and refused to attend patients at OPDs of state-run health institutions.

It was the 11th day of strike announced by the Young Doctors Association, Punjab, to put pressure on the government for withdrawing departmental actions taken against their colleagues in the aftermath of Gujranwala incident.

Dozens of doctors and YDA office bearers have been terminated, suspended and transferred to small districts for being absent from duties during the strike.

During the strike, doctors continued to attend patients at the medical camps set up by them outside the OPDs. The patients visiting the OPDs were being attended by senior doctors.

YDA leaders said they would continue protest till the acceptance of their demands.
