KARACHI, Jan 23: Eleven ships carrying containers, steel coils and other cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, shipping sources said.

Selini, Quetta, Pretty Jewellery and Kota Genteng were berthed while Ocean Star, Al Muntazah II, Aashiman, Colchester Castle and Lantau Arrow sailed out.

A cargo volume of 37,440 tons comprising 20,835 tons of import and 16,605 tons of export was handled.

The following ships are expected to arrive on Thursday: Santa Rosa, UAFL Zanzibar, Oocl Dialin, Chemroute Sky and APL Guanshou with containers, Bunga Allium with MOL, Fadelsia with steel coils, Hai Wang Xing with project cargo, Chem Star with ethanol and UBC Chile with cement.
