LAHORE, Jan 22: Three prisoners released by India crossed into Pakistani territory from Wagah Border on Tuesday.

According to an Edhi Foundation release, the prisoners identified as 55-year-old Ms Ishrat of Lahore, Wajid Ali, 15, and Muhammad Mushtaq, 25, both residents of Sheikhupura, were shifted to Edhi Homes.

The prisoners will be handed over to the families after identification process.

Earlier, the prisoners were served meal by Edhi volunteers at the border.

PUNISHMENT: Mujahid Squad SP Capt Rommel Akram (retired) has dismissed three police constables from service for prolonged absence from duty and awarded multiple punishments to 12 others.

According to a release issued on Tuesday, the SP conducted orderly room, called the officials against show-cause notices and announced punishments.

Constables Aamir Abbas, Ejaz Ahmad and Irfan were dismissed from service while head-constables Muhammad Ramzan and Muhammad Azam and constables Ashraf, Atif, Basharat, Afzal, Jahanzeb, Tariq, Nadeem, Muhammad Ashraf, Zulfikar, and Amjad Ali were suspended from service for absence from duty, dereliction of duty and misconduct.
