LAHORE, Jan 19: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf central information secretary Shafqat Mahmood says the suspicious death of Kamran Faisal, a NAB investigator, has raised many questions in between the hearing of rental power case in the Supreme Court.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Mr Mahmood said: “The PTI demands a thorough investigation and supports the relatives’ demand for a judicial inquiry into the matter.”
Kamran Faisal was found dead in mysterious circumstances at the Federal Lodges in Islamabad on Friday.
Mr Mahmood stated that Kamran Faisal’s relatives alleged that victim’s body bore marks of injuries, though a preliminary autopsy report concluded that he had committed suicide. He said the family, friends and colleagues had rejected the report, saying that they had seen torture marks on Kamran’s body.
