Four die as bus rams into tree

KASUR, Jan 15: Four people were killed and nine others injured when a bus rammed into a tree near Doleywala on Wednesday.

A bus was on its way to Multan when it rammed into a roadside tree while overtaking a tractor-trolley near Doleywala. Four passengers, including bus driver Aslam, Sharifan Bibi and Faqir Husain, died on the spot, while nine others sustained injuries. The injured were taken to the DHQ hospital, Kasur.

KIDNAPPED: A woman along with three children was kidnapped allegedly by four people in Mustafabad here on Wednesday.

Police said Javed along with three accomplices stormed into the house of Rafaqat in his absence and kidnapped his wife, Shahnaz, and children Usman (5), Benish (3) and Sehrish (2).

Police have registered a case.
