Saima’s fans

Published January 13, 2013

It has been quite a while since the well-rounded film star Saima made headlines. She has been keeping mum and makes appearances in films as an actress.

It is difficult to ascertain why she gave a comment last week when someone raised the issue of ‘awards’ with her. Saima came up with the standard response that “an actor’s real award is the appreciation that s/he gets from his/her fans”. Come to think of it, with the thinning number of films that are being made in Pakistan you wonder how many paristars our film actresses are left with.
