LAKKI MARWAT, Jan 12: Residents of Bakhmal Ahmadzai blocked Tajori road on Saturday to press law enforcement agencies to arrest miscreants involved in planting a bomb outside the house of a schoolteacher. It is pertinent to mention here that police had defused a homemade explosive devise planted by unknown miscreants along the house of a schoolteacher Inamullah in Bakhmal Ahmadzai village last week.

To record protest against the incident and put pressure on police to arrest the saboteurs, the villagers led by Mumtaz Khan and other elders gathered on Tajori road and closed it for vehicular traffic. The road connecting tribal belt of frontier region with the district remained closed for some time causing nuisance for transporters and commuters.

The protesters condemned the sabotage bid of miscreants and said area police with the help of bomb disposal squad averted the tragedy by defusing the explosives on time. They demanded of the government to arrest the miscreants involved in the terror act and provide security to the schoolteacher.  —Correspondent
