KARACHI: A senior police officer, sent to Dubai to take custody of Shahrukh Jatoi, the main suspect in the Shahzeb Khan murder case, returned on Friday without success.
SP Niaz Ahmed Khosa had flown to Dubai on Jan 7 after the National Central Bureau (Interpol Office in Pakistan) issued diffusion notice to their counterparts in the UAE.
The UAE officials had confirmed to the officer that Shahrukh Jatoi was in the city.
“The authorities in Dubai told us that they expect Jatoi’s arrest in next four to five days,” SP Khosa told Dawn on his return to Karachi.

Why has the Pak govt not approached the UAE govt is not understood, but since we are known to always protect the influential it can easily be said that the rulers are not interested in getting this man arrested otherwise there could be no problem as he is present there in Dubai.

So what? they will be able to submit to the supreme court that "genuine" efforts were made to bring the accused back; mission complete!

The main suspect in the Shahzeb Khan Murder case, returned on Friday without success. So my question to senior police officer how was your trip on government expenses did you enjoy your trip. Next trip would be probably to United Kingdom. It is indeed mission impossible.
