(L-R) Ranbhir Kapoor & Kishore Kumar

As Ranbir Kapoor teams up once again with his Barfi director Anurag Basu for his untitled next on the life of legendary singer Kishore Kumar, the actor prepares himself to play the part to the tee.

According to a report in TOI: Ranbir who has a host of films lined up this year including Besharam with his parents Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor, will soon start working on Kishore Kumar's biopic. Ranbir is also getting into character to ensure he portrays Kishore Kumar just the way he was. "The whole country is aware of who Kishore Kumar was. I am getting a chance to do his biopic on screen and as an actor, it's my duty to do full justice to a legend like him. I will try to look and act like him and imbibe his mannerisms", says Ranbir.

Further adding, "Kishore Kumar would sing from his heart. He would make an actor's life easy because his singing would do half the job. He had so much passion. Kishore da's given songs to my dad and I have to say, a singer contributes largely to an actor's career. Mukheshji gave great songs for my grandfather's films and so did Mohammad Rafi and Kishore da to many actors like Dharam ji and Mr Bachchan. We must credit them."
