It is cricket fever in Pakistan. By the time this piece goes to print the Indo-Pak limited over cricket series taking place in India will have been over.

The tournament lived up to its billing as everyone from every sphere of life showed keen interest in it. Pakistani TV celebrities, such as Adnan Siddiqi, Saleem Javed and Mani were seen on a sports channel giving their views on the matches. It added colour to the whole scenario. However, the effort of one of them (we’re not going to name him) in sounding like an expert of the game was a tad too uncalled for because when he spoke on the subject it gave off the-man-on-the-street vibe. Showbiz people should try and be better at what they do, not presuppose that they’re already better at their craft.
