Fingerprints data

KARACHI, Jan 5: The forensic division of the Sindh police has collected fingerprints data of 44,878 accused in the province in 2012, an official of the police department said on Saturday.

The official said that the task had been performed using the Pakistan Automated Fingerprint Identification System (PAFIS).

The data contained fingerprints of 35,629 accused from Karachi and 1,836 accused from Hyderabad while the remaining ones were from other parts of the province, the official added. —APP
