PESHAWAR, Jan 13: The Deputy Speaker of the NWFP Assembly, Ikramullah Shahid, has warned the United States that it will disintegrate like the then Soviet Union if it did not change its anti-Muslim policy.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Anwarul Uloom Madressah in Mardan, according to a press release issued on Monday.

He said it was unfortunate that the Bush administration considered only the Muslim states as terrorists and asked why the US administration was tight-lipped over the Muslims’ genocide in Palestine and occupied Kashmir?

The MMA leader said it was the anti-Muslim policy of the United States which had infused a new Islamic spirit in the peoples of Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
