Gohar Ayub joins PML-N

LAHORE: Gohar Ayub, a leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former foreign minister, has joined the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) along with his associates, DawnNews reported on Thursday.

On Thursday, political leaders hailing from KP’s Hazara region met with PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind.

Gohar Ayub, his son Omar Ayub, former provincial assembly speaker Habibullah Tareen, former provincial minister Akhtar Shah and Raja Faisal, an MPA from the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, were present during the meeting.

According to a statement issued by the PML-N, Sharif had welcomed the leaders to the party.

On the occasion, Ayub, who was a member of the Pakistan Muslim League - Quaid (Likeminded Group) before joining the PML-N, expressed his full confidence in Sharif’s leadership of the party.
