QUETTA: Firing incidents in the provincial capital and in Chaman has left five people dead including one police official, DawnNews reported.

The police offical was killed along with three others injured, after unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on them in Quetta.

They were taken to hospital, but the police official died upon arrival.

Elsewhere in a Pashtun dominated area, unknown gunmen opened fire on students from a madrassa, killing two of them.

Two other people were shot dead in Chaman, near the Pak-Afghan border, after unknown gunmen fired upon them. The two deceased were reported to be members of the Afghan police and had come to visit relatives when they were killed.
