LAHORE, Dec 19: Police will provide security cover to anti-polio teams on Lahore streets on Thursday (today), the last day of the three-day campaign.
DIG Operations Tahir Rai told Dawn on Wednesday the step had been taken in the wake of attacks on anti-polio workers in Karachi, Peshawar, Risalpur and Charsadda. He said the workers of 3,000 teams administering anti-polio drops to Lahore children would get security during the day-long campaign. —Staff Reporter
