Maaz shines

KARACHI, Dec 13: Maaz Naveed produced a grand all-round performance to help Southshore School outclass St Michael’s Convent School by 10 wickets in the fourth Ian Fyfe Memorial Inter-school Invitation T20 colour-kit cricket league at the KGA Ground here on Wednesday.

Batting first, St Michael’s were bundled out for a paltry 71 in 18 overs with Imran Bukhari (15), Huzaifa (14) and Shayan Khan (13) the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Maaz was the chief wicket-taker for Southshore with an excellent return of three for 12 in four overs. Asif Lakho grabbed two for 13 from three overs.

Southshore scored the required runs in mere 5.3 overs with Aga Mustafa (36) and Maaz (30) sharing an unbroken opening partnership of 72.
