KARACHI, Dec 11: A judicial magistrate remanded on Tuesday two suspected militants in police custody in explosives and illicit weapons cases till Dec 16.

The crime investigation department of the Sindh police claimed to have arrested Noorullah alias Hamza and Khalid Mehmood alias Sabir, said to be associated with the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, on Monday in Machhar Colony within the remit of the Docks police station.

The CID produced the suspects in court and sought their custody in four cases.

A judicial magistrate (west) handed them over to the CID police on five-day remand.

The cases (FIR 615/12 to 618/12) were registered under Section 13-D of the Pakistan Arms Ordinance, 1965 and Section 4/5 of Explosive Substance Act at the CID police station.
