HYDERABAD, Jan 10: The All Sindh Teachers Association (ASTA) has announced boycott of fresh tests and interviews of the junior school teachers of elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools.

In a statement, issued here on Friday, the secretary, Sindh Teachers’ Alliance, and a leader of the ASTA, Kazi Aminuddin, accused the bureaucracy of hatching a conspiracy against the government, as directives to the JSTs to reappear in the tests and interviews had created a restive atmosphere.

He made it clear that the teachers would boycott tests and interviews.

He also announced that the teachers would stage a demonstration on Sunday at the test centre of the Government High School-1, Society, in this regard.

He appealed the Sindh governor, the chief minister and the minister for education to revoke the anti-education and anti- teachers policies and take action against those, who were trying to create unrest among the teachers at the time of the annual examinations.

DEGREE: The University of Sindh announced on Friday that Ghulam Murtaza Mastoi had been declared successful for the award of a Ph.D degree in Chemistry on the topic of “ Analysis of Water and Development of New Analytical Methods for the Determination of Metal and Non Metal Ions”.
