MINGORA, Dec 6: Former Jamaat-i-Islami MPA Malik Amirzada was killed and his two daughters and brother were injured in an accident on Katlang-Mardan road on Thursday.

Police said that the former member of the provincial assembly was coming to him home in Swat from Islamabad when his car collided with a tractor trolley near Katlang.

As a result, Mr Amirzada was killed on the spot, while his two daughters identified as Amera Bibi, 7, and Aiman Bibi, 4, and brother Anwar Ali, 20, were injured. The injured were taken to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, where one of them was stated to be in critical condition.

Sitting MPA Jaffar Shah reached the hospital after the incident and directed the hospital administration to provide timely treatment to the injured.

These days Mr Amirzada was working as executive officer of an NGO, Swiss Development. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Kalam.
