LAKKI MARWAT, Dec 5: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has formed its teachers’ wing in the district to resolve the problems faced by local teachers.

The Muslim Teachers Forum (MTF) was formed at a meeting held here on Wednesday with PML-N provincial vice president Akhtar Munir Marwat in the chair. A large number of teachers attended the meeting.

The participants of the meeting requested Mr Marwat to form teachers’ wing of the party at provincial level. The meeting elected Haji Nimatullah Khan Meenakhel, Ajab Khan, Motabar Khan and Inayatur Rehman unopposed as district president, general secretary, finance secretary and press secretary respectively of the newly formed MTF.

Zafar Ali Khan Abakhel, Amanullah Khan and Umar Khan were nominated as president, general secretary and finance secretary of Lakki tehsil chapter of MTF while Irfanullah Khan, Haji Hakim Khan and Abdul Kabeer Khan would work as president, general secretary and finance secretary respectively of Naurang tehsil chapter of the organisation.

LAW, ORDER: The law enforcers reviewed law and order situation in the district in a meeting held here on Wednesday with District Police Officer Mohammad Idrees Khan in the chair.

Lakki SDPO Bashar Khan, Naurang SDPO Arif Wazir, station house officers and in-charges of police posts attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the DPO directed police officials to become crime fighters and show efficiency. “Disciplinary action will be taken against derelict and negligent policemen,” he said.

He directed the station house officers to increase patrolling in their respective areas and deal lawbreakers with an iron hand. “Take a stern action against those, who challenge the law,” the DPO asked the officials.

Mr Khan also gave away commendation certificates and cash prizes to those police officials, who showed excellent performance.

GOVT OFFICES: MNA Humayun Saifullah Khan has asked the authorities concerned to utilise funds meant for repair and maintenance of government offices and buildings transparently.

“The authorities concerned should utilise the funds for renovation and whitewashing of government buildings and carrying out petty repair work,” he told journalists after visiting several government offices in Tajazai.

He also asked the quarters concerned to improve sanitation system in the district headquarters complex and ensure availability of water in washrooms and latrines.

Mr Khan also visited Pesco offices and to condole the death of the brother of Executive Engineer Jamalud Din.

Meanwhile, talking to a delegation of Zangikhel village, he said that he would approach high-ups of Pesco to accelerate work on installation of Ghaznikhel feeder in Tajazai grid station.
