Robbers Injure two in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD, Jan 9: Two people were injured by robbers who made off with cash and gold besides hijacking three motorcycles in the city and its rural areas during the last 24 hours.

A gang of eight dacoits looted thousands of rupees, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house of lawyer Muhammad Aslam in Chak No 202 RB.

The dacoits also thrashed the inmates when they put up resistance.

Three masked robbers looted Rs200,000 and gold ornaments from the house of trader Abid Sharif in Shadab Colony.

Robbers snatched gold ornaments and thousands of rupees from the family of Niaz Ali in Chak No 203 RB.

Trader Abdul Raoof was shot at and injured when he attempted to accelerate his car on seeing dacoits on Faisalabad-Sargodha Road.

Five masked men looted cash, electric goods and other articles from the house of Muhammad Ishfaq in Shahzad Park.

The robbers injured Ishfaq when he put up resistance.

Two robbers snatched gold ornaments and thousands of rupees from Ms Shamim Akhtar in Mansoorabad. Another two robbers took away the motorcycle (No FS 1230) from Abdul Jabbar. They also thrashed him when he put up resistance.

Muhammad Abid and Malik Chiragh Din were robbed of their motorcycles (Nos FDY 1530 and FDW-6420) in Kotwali Road and grain market areas.

MOOT: The 12th All Pakistan Surgical Conference will begin at a local hotel from January 12 under the auspices of the Society of Surgeons Faisalabad.

Renowned surgeons from all over the country would read their papers at the conference.
