THIS is apropos of the news report regarding court judgments (Nov 12) wherein the Lahore High Court division bench and later on the apex court dismissed appeals of the AGPR and the federal government against the decisions of the Punjab High Court, the Services Tribunal of Punjab, the Federal Services Tribunal, giving relief to pensioners of over 75 years of age equal to the increase given on 50 per cent of the pension being paid during the last 15 years of retirement.

Quite a number of retirees have benefited out of this move whereas a small number of pensioners of above 75 years of age like me is still deprived of the increase in the restored 50 per cent of the pension for no fault of ours.

I have full hope under the tenets of justice and fair play for the aforementioned relief, i.e. increase in the restored pension due thereof.
