LAHORE, Nov 29: Five goals by Shah Qubilai Alam took Master Paints into the final of the Dimal Asia Pacific Polo Cup after they thumped Learning Alliance 10½-5 here on Thursday.

A half-goal handicap helped the winners to take a slender 2 ½-2 lead after the first chukker in which Qublai scored twice while Asif Tiwana and Usman Haye Mehta scored for Learning Alliance.

Learning Alliance took the lead in the second chukker as Bilal Haye and Abdul Haye Mehta scored a goal each with Ahmad Zubair replying for Master Paints.

Master Paints then turned on the style as Qublai, Ahmed and Shiraz Qureshi scored in the third chukker to give them a 6½-5 lead.

They then plundered four more in the fourth chukker with Qublai and Shiraz both scoring twice.

In the other match of the day, four goals by Ahmed Ali Tiwana inspired Rijas to a 6-1 victory over Remington Pharma and a place in the subsidiary final.
