Four IT centres set up

GILGIT, Nov 23: The Education Department, Northern Areas, has set up four information technology centres in four colleges.

This was stated by Northern Areas Education Secretary Prof Khwaja Meherdad here on Friday.

The centres have been set up in Postgraduate College for Boys, Gilgit; Degree College for Girls, Gilgit; Degree College for Boys, Skardu; and Degree College for Girls, Skardu.

The Secretary said that entry tests for admissions to the colleges would begin from December 6 to 11.

He said it was mandatory for all candidates to pass the entry test with 50 per cent marks while 50 per cent marks would be given on the basis of academic achievements in schools.
