Azhar and Kashif in big stand

LAHORE, Jan 8: An unbroken opening stand of 93 by Pakistan Customs duo of Azhar  Shafiq  and  Kashif  Siddique was the only significant activity of the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam  Trophy Group-III match against Lahore Whites at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

Electing to bat first, Customs made good use of the 22 overs bowled. Azhar cracked four fours and one six in an unbeaten 47 off 76 balls while Kashif hit seven boundaries in his 41.

In another match of this group, Habib bank were 107 for two against hosts Sialkot at Saga Ground, where  31.4  overs’ play was possible.

The match between Gujranwala and Sheikhupura was badly hit by poor weather at Lahore Country Club, Muridke where  not a single ball was bowled.
