According to the prosecution, Fazil was employed in Karachi. He took his niece to Karachi on the pretext that her evidence was to be recorded in the suit filed by his wife.

Fazil raped his niece several times in Karachi. The girl managed to reach her home in Bagh Town of Jhang.

The accused followed her after a few days and again raped her in her house in Jhang, when her other relatives had gone to attend a marriage party. The girl raised alarm which attracted the attention of the neighbours, who rescued her and handed over the accused to the police.
