KARACHI: Essay-writing contest held

KARACHI, Jan 8: Fehmida Afreen of the Government Boys Secondary School, North Karachi, got first position in the Urdu essay writing competition on “ Importance of Computer in Educational Institutes”.

The competition was held by the city government on Tuesday.

Mohammed Danish Kamil of the Karachi Academy GBS School, Azizabad, stood second, and Bushra Aslam of the GBS school, Azizabad, got third position in the competition.

In English essay competition, Memona Mushtaq of the Pak Land GBS school got first position, while Sonia Meraj of GBS school, Sir Syed Town, was declared second, and Mohammed Ehsanul Haq of GBS school, Karimabad, got third position.

In Sindhi essay writing, Zohaib Ahmed Shaikh, Allama Iqbal GBS school, achieved first position, Sumaira Ehsan Ali of the Pak Land GBS school stood second, while Sara Shahab of the Sir Syed Town GBS school, North Karachi, got third position.

All the position holders belonged to Class-X. The DOE Mohammed Hanif, said such events encouraged healthy competition among the students.—APP
