KARACHI, Nov 24: The third edition of the NBP Disabled Twenty20 Pentangular Cup will start from Wednesday with Shahenshah-e-Punjab taking on defending champions Sardar of Balochistan in the opening fixture here at the NBP Sports Complex.

Chairman of the PCB national selection committee Iqbal Qasim, who also the head of the NBP Sports Division, will inaugurate the tournament at 1:30pm on the same day before the start of the second match between Kings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Areas Maharajahs. Sultans of Sindh are the fifth competing team.

The event is being held under the auspices of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association and is being sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan. A handsome prize money of Rs125,000 will be at stake with winners to receive Rs50,000. The runners-up would get Rs25,000. In addition, each wining side at the league phase of the competition will be given Rs5,000 as bonus in each match while the Man-of-the-Match will collect Rs1,000. The best bowler, batsman, wicket-keeper and fielder of the event will be presented with Rs2,500 each.

According to PDCA honorary secretary Amiruddin Ansari, the other league matches will be played at the RLCA Ground in Gulberg and the TMC Ground with the final to be contested at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground on Dec 1.
